Your Sin Can Be Forgiven

I love to drink Krystal Lite. I love the taste. I will carry a sleeve or two of Krystal Lite with me and at times, I will pour it in a bottle of water. I love it…
But, although I love it, it can be HARD to clean up. There is something in it that is tough to clean. When you spill it, if you don’t clean it quick, it can leave a ring. When it leaves a ring, it can be cleaned but it is tough to do.
You may feel the same way about sin in your life. We all made mistakes. All of us do. And when we make mistakes, we can think there is no hope. We can think that our mistake… our sin… can’t be forgiven.
We can reason that no one or… very few have committed a sin as grievous as what we committed. But that’s not true. God doesn’t rank sin… Sin is sin.
David… the man after God’s very heart… sinned when he had an affair with Bathsheba and then, he sinned again by having Bathsheba’s husband killed. David carried that sin around for some time. Until he was approached by Nathan the prophet and David confessed his sin.
David prayed in Psalm 51:1, “According to the greatness of Thy compassion, blot out my transgression.” Then David adds, “Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity.”
Later David adds, “Wash me and I shall be whiter than snow” (Psalm 51:7).
So, if there is unconfessed sin in your life, know that your sin can be forgiven but, you have to ask. You have to humble yourself and ask the Lord and He will forgive.
Later in the Psalm David added, “Create in me a clean heart O God.” God will create a clean heart in you… if you will humble yourself and confess your sin. Jesus loves you and wants to forgive you.
