Nothing Will Separate Us From God’s Love

Have you ever lost a friendship? Or, has there been a time when words were said between you and a friend or a relative and as a result of that, you haven’t been nearly as close? Maybe you haven’t even spoken to the person in years?
That kind of thing happens. Hopefully it doesn’t happen often but, it happens. And when it does, it can sting. You may have even gone to the person to talk to them but they won’t listen. They tell you they would rather not talk They could even say some tough things to you.
It HURTS when this kind of thing happens. But thank the Lord, this doesn’t with the Lord. The Lord never stops loving us.
In Romans 8:38-39, Paul says, “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor power, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
That is a strong and beautiful verse! Think about it… Paul covers just about everything that could be covered… he says NOTHING, will separate us from God’s love. NOTHING!
But, someone may say, “You don’t know what I’ve done.” I don’t but it doesn’t matter. There is NOTHING that separates us from God.
We all make mistakes. We all fight battles in our thought life. We are all sinners. And, sometimes our sin seems worse than others. It’s not but it can seem that way.
But Jesus loves us.
You may have lost a friendship… you and a relative may not be speaking or maybe, you haven’t seen them in years… but, NOTHING will separate us from God’s love. God loves us.
Rejoice in that today!
