Have you ever been in a position where you couldn’t pray? You wanted to pray and needed to pray but, you couldn’t form the words? I’ve been there and likely you have as well. What do we do when we need to pray but can’t?
Romans 8:36 says, “And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.”
Think about that verse…. Paul is saying that when we can’t form the words…. when the wind has been knocked out of us and we are gasping for air… when we are so disappointed we don’t have any strength… the Holy Spirit prays for us… with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.
Today, maybe you are hurting. You are struggling… you are trying to pray but the words won’t come… the Holy Spirit knows that and prays for us.
Let that encourage you today…
“When you don’t understand…
When you can’t trace His hand…
Trust His heart.”
Let the Holy Spirit stand in your place and pray for you today.
