Grace And Peace

“Grace and peace.”
Those words are found numerous times in the New Testament. Paul used them frequently and Peter uses them in II Peter. “Grace and peace…”
We are encouraged… challenged… to live with “grace and peace.” What does that mean? In living a life of grace, it means to be forgiving of others. It means to not be judgmental of others. It means to love others like Jesus did.
To live filled with peace, it means for us to be at peace with God and our fellow man. We are at peace with God when we’ve given our lives to Christ. We are at peace with our fellow man when we have no problems with other people. There is no friction. We are love others and get along with them.
Jesus told His disciples, “By this shall all men know that you are my disciples when you LOVE one another” (John 13). We have not followed Jesus command very well. We are often more known for our fighting and squabbling than we are for love. We are often more known for judging others than we are for love.
Are you living a life of grace and peace? Is your life filled with love and mercy and forgiveness? Are you at peace with God and your fellow man?
I encourage you to join me and let’s live lives of grace and peace. Lives of mercy and love.
When we are prone to judge, let’s remember Jesus words, “He that is without sin, cast the first stone” (John 8:7).
May our lives be filled…. with grace and peace.
