God Does Not Remind Us Of Our Past

All of us have sinned. We have all made mistakes but the Bible promises that Jesus will forgive us of our sins. But, every though Jesus forgives us our sins, the devil can remind us of them. He has a tendency to drag our old sins up and make up think they haven’t been forgiven.
But Psalm 103:12 says, “He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.” Think about that… “as far as the east is from the west…” Now, we don’t need to google how far the east is from the west. The point here is, Jesus removes our sins a long way. We will never see them again.
So, if Jesus removes our sins that far, when Satan wants to remind us of them… when Satan wants to remind us how badly we messed up… read Psalm 103:12.
Satan isn’t the only one who brings them up. People will bring them up. People will make us think we are scum. They can remind us of our past indiscretions and let us know that we aren’t worthy.
Yesterday, I attended an event where Dr. Johnny Hunt spoke. He mentioned King David. He said that David was never mentioned negatively in the New Testament. Now get the picture…. David committed adultery… yet David was not mentioned negatively in the New Testament.
Then, Dr. Hunt said; “When we bring up our past to God, He never brings it up to us again.”
That’s a great word! “When we bring up our past to God, He never brings it up to us again.”
We have all made mistakes. We have all sinned. But don’t get the devil keep you focused on your past. Don’t let the devil remind you of your past. It’s done.. your sins are cast away as far as the east is from the west.
