The Holy Spirit Opens The Minds Of Unbelievers

Is there a non-believer that you have been praying would accept Christ? Maybe you have witnessed to them, perhaps several times, but they will not ask Christ into their hearts. You find yourself frustrated, discouraged because you have done everything you know to do but they will not believe in Christ. You may ask yourself, “why?” “Since they know so much, why will they not believe in Christ?”
In II Corinthians 4:5, the apostle Paul spoke to this. He said, “Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.”
Read again what Paul said… “Satan who is the god of this world, has BLINDED the minds of those who don’t believe… they are unable to see the glorious light of the good news.”
Satan has blinded the eyes of those who don’t believe. Ok, how does Satan do that?
He may do it by making an unbeliever think they can’t live the Christian life. And, if they feel they can’t live the Christian life, they don’t receive Christ.
Others may think, “How can there be a God if there is so much suffering in the world?” Again, Satan has led them to believe that there must not be a God.
I knew a man years ago who was not a believer. He often came to church with his family. I witnessed to him but he would not receive Christ. He wouldn’t because he was an alcoholic. He knew he would have to give up his drinking to receive Christ and he didn’t think he could so he never received Christ. Satan had blinded his mind.
There may be someone you know whom Satan has blinded their mind. The only way they will be able to see the need to believe in Christ is when the Holy Spirit convicts them. So, you need to pray that somehow, some way, the Holy Spirit takes the blinders off and helps them to see the need for Christ.
Satan has blinded the minds of unbelievers. Those minds can only be opened through the power of the Holy Spirit.
