Living A Decent Life In A Tough World

We live in a very, very secular world. It's a world filled with sexual immorality, dishonesty and idolatry. So, how do we live in this world?
Some want to withdraw from the world. They choose to have as little contact with the world as possible.
Others choose to stay in the world and try to change it but, the world ends up changing them.
The correct approach is to be in the world but not of the world. We live in the world, we are friends with people in the world but, we do not let the world change us. Instead, we try to change the world.
Paul said in Romans 13:13, "Because we belong to the day, we must live decent lives for all to see." Notice Paul said "..live decent lives.."
Jesus has called us to be "the salt of the earth and the light of the world.." If you have cable, you have access to the same channels everyone else does but, you don't watch them. You may work around a lot of profanity. Maybe it bothers you at times. That doesn't mean you withdraw, you just don't cuss.
Numerous times in the last year I've been around someone who will drop an "F" bomb. They will say, "I'm sorry…I shouldn't say that around you." I often say, "It's ok..". Now, is it ok to drop an "F" bomb? Not really but it happens and I'm not God.
Today, strive to live a decent life. Let others see Jesus in you.
