Be On Guard Against The Devil

Ever since God kicked Satan out of heaven, Satan has been tempting mankind. In the garden of Eden Satan tempted Adam and Eve and sin came into the world. In the gospels, Satan tempted Jesus although Jesus never sinned.
In II Chronicles 21, the Bible says, “Satan rose up against Israel and caused David to take a census of the people of Israel. So David said to Joab and the commanders of the army, “Take a census of all the people of Israel—from Beersheba in the south to Dan in the north—and bring me a report so I may know how many there are.”
When Joab heard this, it concerned him and he said to David, “May the Lord increase the number of his people a hundred times over! But why, my lord the king, do you want to do this? Are they not all your servants? Why must you cause Israel to sin?”
Satan is still tempting people. It may be to buy something you don’t need or to do something you don’t need to do. The Bible says Satan is walking around “seeking someone to devour.” So, be on guard. Just as Satan “rose up” against David, he can rise up against us.
