A Worthy Commitment

What are you committed to? What means a lot to you? We can look at our bank statements and calendars and they will tell us what we are committed to because whatever we spend time and money on is important to us.  So, what are you committed to? Is it your family? Your job? A hobby?
As Christians we should be committed to Christ and sharing His word. In Acts 20, Paul has stopped at Miletus to speak to the elders. He says to them, “But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—”. Paul was committed to the cause of Christ.
Right now, a group of people from Mt. Rachel Baptist Church in Dalton, Ga are in Africa on a mission trip. They flew to Africa at their own expense to share the gospel. I would say they are committed.
We should be as well. Let’s put it this way; make sure that whstever you are committed to is worthy of your commitment. When life is over, you don’t want to look back and regret what money and time were spent on. Make sure you are committed to the Lord and His work.
