God Heals The Broken-Hearted

      Disappointments.
      Broken hearts.
      We have all experienced them.
       The pop group, the “Bee Gee’s have a song that goes;
“And how can you mend a broken heart?
How can you stop the rain from falling down?
How can you stop the sun from shining?
What makes the world go round?
How can you mend a this broken man?
How can a loser ever win?
Please help me mend my broken heart and let me live again.”
        Think about that last sentence…
“Please help me mend my broken heart and let me live again.
        “Let me live again….”
When you experience a broken heart, how do you live again?
Let’s be honest; people don’t always care. Does the world care that you are going through a divorce? Or dealing with depression? Or that someone has let you down? No, most don’t. Someone might even say, “Hey, I have my own problems. I don’t need to hear about yours.”
In a cold world, there is one person that always cares and that’s the Lord. Psalms 147:3 says, “He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.”
Notice the text says, “He heals the brokenhearted…”. How does God heal us? It happens through His word…through music…through people. God uses us…His people to minister to the broken-hearted.       Maybe you know someone who is struggling. Help them out. Encourage them.    Call them up.
God cares for the broken-hearted…and God bandages their wounds…and He often uses His people to do it.
Jesus said, “Come to Me those who are wesry and heavy-laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me…” (Matt. 11:28-30).
After experiencing a broken hesrt, we can live again…God promises to heal broken hearts.
