“I Don’t Know If He’s A Sinner Or Not – But I Know This – Once I Was Blind But Now I Can See”

Most of us have questions about Christianity. We believe the Bible and we believe Jesus saves and we have asked Jesus to forgive us of our sins but, that doesn’t mean that we don’t have questions. But, unfortunately, we can’t find answers to some of our questions.
So, where does that leave us? Does that mean, we believe Christianity isn’t real? Does that mean we don’t believe the Bible? No. It shouldn’t, at least.
Just because we can’t get answers to all our questions doesn’t mean we don’t believe in Jesus. We still believe but will have to wait until heaven to get all of our answers and then, our questions may not matter.
We know that Jesus saves and we know that we have been forgiven. That’s enough for us.
In John 8, Jesus healed a man who was born blind. After he was healed some Pharisees asked him who healed him? He told them Jesus did. But that didn’t satisfy them.
They asked the man again if Jesus had healed him. Trying to discredit Jesus, they said to the man, “God should get the glory for this… this man Jesus is a sinner.”
Exasperated, the man who had been healed said, “I don’t know whether he is a sinner,” the man replied. “But I know this: I was blind, and now I can see!”(John 9:25)
I love that verse… “Listen, I don’t know if He is a sinner or not… but I know this, once I was blind but now I can see.”
That’s the way we should answer people who have questions about the Christian faith. “Look… I don’t the answer to this… I don’t know why the Bible says this…. but I know this… I prayed and asked Jesus to forgive me and He did. I was a sinner but Jesus saved me!”
Today, maybe you have some questions about the Christian faith. Maybe there are some verses you don’t understand. Friend, you may never get answers to your questions. But, we know this; we were all sinners but Jesus saved us. Thank the Lord for a wonderful Savior!
