“Here I Raise Mine Ebenezer”

The late Zig Ziglar spoke of a “wall of thanks” that he had. The wall had pictures of people who had helped him throughout his life. All of us could have a wall of thanks.
As Christians, we know that God has helped us. We would not be where we are without the help of the Lord. There was a time in the life of Israel when a monument was made to remind them that God had helped them.
In II Samuel 7:12, the Bible says that Samuel took a large stone and placed it between the towns of Mizpah and Jeshanah and named it, “Ebenezer,” which means “stone of help.” Then Samuel added, “Up to this point the Lord has helped us.”
There is an old hymn we sing that has a line that goes; “Here I raise mine Ebenezer…”       That line comes from the hymn, “Come thou fount of every blessing…”
Everyone of us could raise an Ebenezer to the Lord because the Lord has helped us all. Today, I encourage you to raise an Ebenezer to the Lord. Today, give thanks to the     Lord for all He has done for us.
God has provided salvation for us in Jesus.
God has provided provision for us in daily food.
God has provided shelter for us in our homes.
The list could go on and on… God has blessed us. God has provided for us. Today, raise an Ebenezer to the Lord.
