“His Eye Is On The Sparrow”

Has anyone ever told you, “You ain’t worth nothing?”
Or, “You won’t ever accomplish anything…”
Or, “your a worthless piece of ….”
Or, “You won’t ever amount to anything!”
I hope you have never heard any of those things but, it’s possible you have. Maybe you’ve never been told those things but, when you are down, perhaps you have thought, “I’m worthless.”
The fact is… God made us all, Jesus loves us all and we are all worthy. Jesus said, in Luke 12:6-7, ““What is the price of five sparrows—two copper coins[e]? Yet God does not forget a single one of them. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.”
In these verses Jesus is affirming that God loves us and we are worth something.
So, if the hateful words someone spoke to you years ago still ring in your ears, remember, God loves you. When you make a mistake and you think you are worthless, remember, God loves you.
There is an old song that goes;
“Why should I feel discouraged, why should the shadows come,
Why should my heart be lonely, and long for heav’n and home,
When Jesus is my portion? My constant Friend is He:
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
Refrain:
I sing because I’m happy, I sing because I’m free,
For His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.”
Jesus eye is on the sparrow and His eye is on you as well. He made us and He loves us.       We are worthy.
