When We Are Down… We Need To Remember What The Lord Has Done For Us

Are you discouraged? Do you question if God loves you? Do you feel like God has abandoned you? Lots people feel that way at times.
David felt that way. In Psalm 77, David asks, “Has the Lord rejected me forever? Will he never again be kind to me?”
I don’t know what David was dealing with but he was down. He felt God had abandoned him. Have you ever felt that way? Very possibly you have.
David continued, “Is his unfailing love gone forever? Have his promises permanently failed?” David was really struggling.
David concluded, “This is my fate… the Most High has turned his hand against me.”
But then, things get better. David says in verse 11, “But then I recall all you have done, O Lord… I remember your wonderful deeds of long ago.”
Think about those verses again… In one verse David says, “This is my fate… the Most High has turned his hand against me….”
Then, it’s as if the Lord reminds David of all He has done for him in the past because David writes, “But then I recall all you have done O Lord.”
“But then I recall…” David is reminded of God’s grace and provision in years past. Maybe you are like David today.. maybe you think God has forgotten you.
Like David, you need to be reminded of what God has done in the past. Like David, you need to “…recall” all that God has done in the past.
Every now and then, our money will get tight. When it does, I can begin to worry. But then, God reminds me that He has provided for us in the past and will do it again.
God has not forgotten you. God loves you. Maybe Satan is making you think God doesn’t care about you. Don’t believe it. You need to remember how God has provided in the past and believe that God will provide for you again.
