Have you ever been abandoned or maybe felt abandoned? Maybe you had a friend bail out on you or a family member that didn’t come through for you. The fact is that people are people and will let us down but Jesus doesn’t.
The Psalmist said, “Now that I am old and gray, do not abandon me, O God.”
Think about what the Psalmist said; “Now that I am old and gray…do not abandon me.” My guess is, if a person is old and gray they know from experience that God will not let them down. For most people who are “old and gray”, they are able to remember times when God was them.
They remember a lonely house when God was them after a death of a spouse.           They remember a time when a child was sick and God was with them.
They remember a time when money was short and God provided.
God does not abandon us…even when we are old and gray.
