“The Touch Of His Hand Healed Every One”

Throughout Jesus’ ministry, He healed people…. lots of people… of all kinds of diseases….On one occasion, He healed Simon Peter’s mother-in-law. And, people brought many others for Jesus to heal. Luke says, “No matter what their diseases were, the touch of his hand healed every one.”
“The touch of his hand every one…”
Think about those words…
They weren’t given medication… just “the touch of his hand healed every one.”
A man was blind… Jesus touched him and he could see.
A lady was hemorrhaging… she touched Jesus and the bleeding stopped.
Just the touch of Jesus’ hand healed people.
Jesus is still healing. Today, God has given us physicians who prescribe medication to heal us of various ailments. But many illnesses today are more than physical.
Some are emotional. Someone is struggling with some type of abuse. The touch of Jesus heals.
Someone is struggling with depression. The touch of Jesus heals.
Someone is struggling with low self-esteem. The touch of Jesus heals.
Someone is struggling with the pain of a divorce. The touch of Jesus heals.
Now, someone may ask; “Ok, tell me … HOW does the touch of Jesus heal?”
Jesus loves us… regardless what we have experienced in life. When the whole world lets us down, Jesus is still there.
There is an old poem that you may be familiar with. It tells the story of an auctioneer trying to sell an old violin. As he started the bidding, he wasn’t getting much interest.
But then, a man in the crowd stepped forward, took the old violin and played a beautiful song. Then, he set the old violin down. Then auctioneer then re-started the bidding but this time, the bidding was higher until the violin sold.
The people asked, “what changed it’s worth?” Someone replied, “it was the touch of the Master’s hand.”
Then, the poem ends with, “Many a man with life out of tune and battered and scarred with sin. Is auctioned cheep in the thoughtless crowd much like the old violin. But the Master comes and the foolish crowd never can quite understand. The worth of a soul and the change that’s wrought by the touch of the Master’s hand.”
The touch of the Master’s hand can heal all of us today.
