Yes, Your Sins… Regardless What They Are… Can Be Forgiven

Have you ever messed up? Maybe you are chuckling thinking, “Lord, how many times have I messed up?” I hear you and I’m with you. We all make mistakes.
And when we make mistakes we can think there is no hope. But there is.
Psalms 32:1 says, “How blessed is He whose sin is forgiven… whose sin is covered”
David wrote that Psalm. Remember David? Remember Bathsheba? Yeah, they may well have ended up on the cover of National Enquirer if there had been a National Enquirer in those days. I can see the headlines; “King has steamy affair with Bathsheba.”
So, David commits adultery. He sinned. Yet, he poured out his heart to God and his sin was forgiven.
Now, where I grew up.. if you told someone that David… King David had sinned and yet, he was forgiven… someone might say, “Are you sh….. me?” As if, “you can’t be serious.”
But David was forgiven… and you can be too. It does not matter what you have done.
Adultery? You can be forgiven.
Pre-marital sex? You can be forgiven.
Drug or alcohol abuse? Forgiven
Broke the Law? Forgiven.
You name it… there is NOTHING that can’t be forgiven IF, you are convicted of your sin and you confess it. I John 1:9 says, “If you confess your sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
John Newton, the author of the hymn, “Amazing Grace,” said; “Although my memory’s fading, I remember two things very clearly; I am a great sinner and Christ is a great Savior.”
Amen and Amen!
Your sins can be forgiven! Rejoice in that today!
