God Promises To Provide For Our Needs

God promises to provide for our NEEDS. Not our WANTS but our NEEDS. It’s easy to get those confused.
WANTS is a new TV. NEEDS is food or basic shelter. In the book of Exodus, the people were in the wilderness and they began to complain because they had nothing to eat. So, God told Moses that He was going to rain down food from heaven for the Israelites. God told them they would have meat to eat in the evening and bread in the morning.
So, God rained down manna from heaven. The people were to go out each day and gather enough food for that day. The Bible says, “After this the people gathered the food morning by morning, each family according to its need” (Exodus 16:21).
God provided food for Israel. He didn’t give them enough for several days but instead, each for each day. God does the same with us. He provides for our needs.
The apostle Paul said, “Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am” (Phil. 4:11).
Today, maybe there is something you need and you are nervous about it. God promises to provide for our needs. Not our wants… but our needs. Just like He did with Israel, we can trust the Lord to give us food for each day.
