“Liar Liar Pants On Fire”

Question; Does God know what’s best for us?
Now, someone is saying, “Come on, Gregg; you are a Preacher; of all people you know that God knows best.” Yes I do but, still, answer my question.
Why? because this world lives like you can’t really trust God. Let me explain.
In the Garden of Eden, God had placed Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden and told them they were not to eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge. Well, along comes the serpent. The serpent directs their attention to the tree and tells them to take some fruit from the tree.
Eve replies, “But God says we will die if we do.”
The serpent said, “You will not die!”
The first lie ever told in history was told by the devil. The lie was, “You don’t have to believe God… take the fruit.. you won’t die.”
Satan has been telling people that since the beginning of time. Satan has told teenagers, it won’t hurt to have sex just once. They won’t get pregnant.
Satan has told men and women, it won’t hurt to have sex outside of marriage just once…
Satan has told men and women, “It’s ok to drink and do drugs… just control it.”
On and on the list could go.
Satan is a liar and he lies to mankind every day. Jesus says of Satan, “He is a liar, and the father of lies” (John 8:44).
So, back to our original question… ‘does God know what’s best for us?” Sure He does! Ok, so we should do business… we should live our lives God’s way. God is not a liar What God says we can believe.
In fact, as opposed to believing God; we shouldn’t believe one thing Satan tells us. Satan is a liar. He wants us to rebel against God.
But instead of listening to Satan, we should listen to God and be obedient to Him. What God says, is best. We should trust God and the directions God gives us.
