Are We Praying With Wrong Motives?

The Bible encourages us to pray and promises that God will answer but, there are times when our prayers aren’t answered. Why is that? Sometimes, it’s because our motives aren’t right.
In James 4:3, the Bible says, “You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures.”
‭‭.     So, one reason our prayers may not be answered is we ask for the wrong motives. For example, maybe you apply for a job because you would like the title. But are you ready for the responsibilities of the job? Is your motive right? I have known men to want to be a Deacon in a church. It wasn’t because they were ready spiritually; it was because they wanted prestige and power.
If God is telling you “No,” there is a reason. Maybe you need to do some soul-searching and confess any wrong motives.
