Christians Are To Set An Example Of Godly Living

Are you willing to accept responsibility? Hopefully you are but there are lots of people who aren’t. Instead of accepting responsibility, many people want to blame others.
Maybe we blame our parents or our neighbors or our environment. You can always find someone to blame instead of accepting responsibility. Maybe you are doing that Instead of accepting responsibility for your mistakes you are blaming others.
In Jeremiah 31:29 the prophet Jeremiah said, “The people will longer quote this proverb: ‘The parents have eaten sour grapes, but their children’s mouths pucker at the taste.” That verse means that parents are responsible for the mistakes of their children. Jeremiah is saying that won’t happen any more. We will accept responsibility for our mistakes.
What about you? Are you willing to accept responsibility for your mistakes? The first step to self-improvement or maturity, is accepting responsibility. Don’t play the blame game! Look yourself in the mirror, admit you made a mistake, learn from it and move forward.
Dean Smith, legendary basketball coach at the University of North Carolina once said this regarding mistakes; “Recognize it, admit it, learn from it, forget it.”
Today, accept responsibility for your mistakes then, by God’s grace, move forward.
