Christians MUST Live Like Christians Should Live If America Is Going To Change

Turn on any news channel and you will quickly see and be told about the problems in America. Whether it is the economy or national security or education or other things, we are told about the problems. I agree that those are problems and need to be addressed. But the real problem, I believe, is deeper and greater.
I don’t know what percentage of Americans are supposed to be Christian but it’s a sizable amount. Yet, churches have lots of empty seats. Many churches are struggling for money because Christians aren’t giving. Why is this?
It’s because Christians have drifted significantly from the Lord. This may have happened before in history and I’m just not aware of it but personally, I’ve never seen anything like it. Simply put; Christians are not living for Christ. It’s almost like their is a blatant disregard for the things of God.
In Colossians, the apostle Paul said, “Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him” (Col. 3:10).
Paul is saying that Christians should look, think and act differently from the world. But let’s be honest; is it happening? No… Christians use profanity just like non-Christians. Christians miss worship. Christians are immersed in materialism. Christians live with one another outside of marriage. The Bible clearly says these things are wrong yet, we do them.
The only way America is going to change is when Christians get serious about living the Christian life. That’s it! That’s the only way!
I invite you to join me and together, let’s put the Lord first in our lives and do our part toward turning America around.
