Dealing With Guilt.

Have you ever felt guilty?
Sure you have. All of us have at times. You do something wrong and you feel bad. You make a mistake and you feel bad. Feeling guilty can be a good thing… it means we are sensitive to right and wrong. If we don’t feel guilty when doing wrong, that can mean our heart is hardened.
In Job 10:14, Job said, “Yet your real motive—your true intent—was to watch me, and if I sinned, you would not forgive my guilt.”
Maybe there is something in your past and you feel guilty. If you have asked the Lord for forgiveness, you can move on. The devil may continue to remind you of what you did but you can tell the devil that Jesus has forgiven you.
You may think, “But you don’t know what you did.” I don’t and don’t need to. If you have asked the Lord for forgiveness, it’s done.. you are forgiven. Now, you may live with the consequences of that sin. For example, maybe you made financial mistakes. You can be forgiven but you may live with the consequences of your mistakes.
Maybe you did drugs. You can be forgiven, but you may have to live with the consequences of your sin.
Today, if you are feeling guilty for something.. give it to the Lord. Ask Jesus for forgiveness and it’s done. Then move on in the freedom of God’s forgiveness.
