“For Such A Time As This”

Are you struggling some with where you are in life? Maybe you don’t care for the schools your kids attend. Maybe you aren’t totally comfortable in your church. Maybe you have a job that is not the best. You want to move but, it seems that God won’t let you. What do you do? It may be that God has you where you are for a reason.
The book of Esther is a story about God placing a young woman in a position of significance at just the right time. A young lady named Esther was chosen to be Queen. Shortly after this happened, a wicked man named Haman planned to destroy the jews. Mordecai heard about this plan.
He sent word to Esther requesting that she go to see the King and asked him to stop this plan from being carried out. When Esther heard Mordecai’s appeal, she sent word back that she couldn’t just barge into the King’s presence. If she did, she could lose her life. Esther was sorry but, she couldn’t help.
When Mordecai heard Esther’s response, Mordecai sent word back reminding her that she too, was a Jew and if Haman carried out his plot, she would die as well. Then Mordecai said, “perhaps you have come into the kingdom for such a time as this. Reading this, Esther changed her mind and determined to talk to the king. She sent word back to Mordecai that she would go into the king’s presence and “if she perished, she perished.”
Think about what Mordecai told Esther… “who knows but that you have come into the kingdom, for such a time as this.” God had sovereignly placed Esther in a strategic position to help foil this plot.
Friend, God mav have placed you where you are, “For such a time as this.” God may have you at a job, “for such a time as this.”
God may have you in a church, “For such a time as this.”
God may have you in a neighborhood, “For such a time as this.”
If you want to leave or move but you can’t, God may have you where you are, “For such a time as this.” Bloom where you are planted.
