When Life Throws You A Curve

Has life turned out how you imagined it? Some reading this are saying, “Yeah, thank the Lord, my plans have gone pretty well.” But, some are saying,”Are you kidding? Life threw me a major curve ball. No life hasn’t turned out how I thought it would.
I understand. Life can throw you a curveball or a pitch in the dirt or something like that.
Now, imagine you are playing baseball. You go to the plate and you strike out… on a curve ball. You go to the plate again, and again, you strike out… on a curve ball. This continues… on and on…
So, do you go back to the dugout and say, “Coach; this game isn’t fair… that pitcher keeps throwing curve balls. Tell him to stop!”
Yes, I’m being ridiculous. It’s not the pitcher’s problem that the batter can’t hit a curveball. The batter has to learn to hit a curveball or, he won’t make it as a baseball player.
Life can throw us curveballs and, we can’t say, “That’s not fair… Stop making things happen to me that I wasn’t prepared for.” Well, we can say it, but it won’t do any good.
Life can throw us curve balls. Thinks happen that we did not anticipate. Maybe it’s an unplanned pregnancy. Maybe it’s a job layoff. Maybe it’s a divorce The list could go on. Things you didn’t anticipate happen.
I read a quote years ago that speaks to this. It is, “Life works out best for those who make the best of how life works out.”
Did you get that? “Life works out best, for those who make the best of how life works out.”
So, if life has thrown you a curve make an adjustment or you will continue to get out. Make the best of whatever happens.
