The Life Of Faith

The Christian life is based on faith.
By faith, we believe the Bible is true.
By faith, we believe Jesus rose from the grave.
By faith, we believe in life after death.
By faith, we believe that when we tithe, God is going to provide for us and bless us.
But faith isn’t easy. The disciples even struggled with faith. It may be that you have struggled with faith. If so, the words of the apostle Paul should challenge us.
Paul was writing about Abraham when he said, “…yet, with respect to the promise of God, he (Abraham) did not waver in unbelief but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully assured that what God had promised, He was able also to perform” (Romans 4:20).
But how do we develop that kind of faith? It comes over time. We believe the promises of God. We trust God to provide or to act. And, when it happens, our faith gets stronger. Every time we trust God, our faith gets stronger.
So, is there something you are trusting God for? Something you are having to believe God is going to provide but you are struggling to have faith? I understand. I’ve been in your position. We need to learn from Abraham whom, the Bible says “… did not waver in unbelief.”
Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”
If you are struggling with faith, ask God to strengthen your faith.
