Have you ever talked with someone about asking Jesus into their heart to forgive them of their sins? If you haven’t, I encourage you to do it. It’s one of the greatest blessings you will receive. But, you might be thinking, “I could never do that.” Yes, you can. Witnessing is just telling someone what Jesus has done in your life and encouraging them to allow Jesus to do the same in their life.
Psalm 126:6 says, He who goes to and fro weeping, carrying his bag of seed, Shall indeed come again with a shout of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.”
The gospel is our seed. As we sow the seed, the Holy Spirit blesses it and some receive Christ. But the seed must be sown.
About a-year-and-a-half ago I had the privilege of meeting Vic Funck. Vic worked out in the gym I was in. During the Christmas season I invited Vic and his family to attend our Christmas Eve service. He said they would be out of town but said he would like to attend later. Honestly, I thought he was just brushing me off.
But early in January of 2015, guess who showed up for church? You got it! Vic and his wife!
Some time later Vic and I had lunch at Doug’s in Emerson. After lunch, we walked outside and I had the privilege of leading Vic Funck to receive Christ. It was one of the blessings of my ministry.
You can have the same experience. He who goes to and fro weeping, sharing his seed, shall come again rejoicing.
Vic & Sharron Carter Funck, luv U!
