Are you at peace today or, is something bothering you? Are you experiencing God’s mercy? If not, you can be.
Lots and lots of people do not have peace. Some don’t have it because of sin in their lives they haven’t confessed. They question if they can be forgiven. Some don’t have it because they are angry at someone or, someone is angry with them. Some don’t have it because the bills are high. And many people, will try to “handle” their lack of piece through medication or liquor.
Jesus wants us to have peace. Regardless of what’s going on… the storm may rage around us but, inside, we can have peace. II John 3 says, “Grace, mercy, and peace, which come from God the Father and from Jesus Christ—the Son of the Father—will continue to be with us who live in truth and love.”
Today, if you aren’t peace, the Lord wants to help you.
One of the Christmas carols we sing goes;
“Silent Night, Holy Night;
All is calm, All is bright.
Round yon virgin, Mother and Child;
Holy Infant, so tender and mild.
Sleep in heavenly peace,
Sleep in heavenly peace.”
