Have questions about the Christian faith? My friend does too.

Last week I had some repair work done on my vehicle.  A young man who was an employee where the work was done took me to PC high school to get our other vehicle to drive for the day.  We got in the car and began to drive and as we did, I was impressed to witness to him.
I asked about his life.
He was living with his girlfriend and they had a child  together.  His girlfriend had a child as well.  I asked if he was a believer?  He replied, "sorta."
I pressed, "Oh, what does  that mean?"
He struggled to explain what he meant so I repeated what I thought I'd heard.  In essence, he wanted to believer there is a God but he wasn't sure.  He asked some good questions.  He basically said "how can I know which religious faith is true?"  He added that there are people who are part of other religions who are willing to die for their faith.  And, he  was right.
So, I said, "You are right and that's a good question."
I then explained that I have staked my life on the truth of Christianity.  I encouraged him to believe in Christ.
I asked if he would like to receive Christ.  He wasn't but wanted to think about it.
I gave him a card and invited him to "The Retreat."
There are lots of others like my friend... they want to believe but aren't sure.  You may work  around someone like this.
The Retreat is a new church start.  It's a place where you can be honest about your doubts and questions.  Do you have questions about the Christian faith?  If so, join the club.  Join us at The Retreat as we try answer the questions of life.
In the meantime, Abraham Lincoln once said "Take all of this Bible by reason that you can and the rest by faith and you will live and die a better man."
