Me And My Prayer Animal... Bella.

I have a prayer partner.  Well, maybe I should say I have a prayer animal.  Yep, you read that correctly.  I have a prayer animal.  Her name is Bella.  She is Sarah's long-haired chihuahua.

(Me & Bella)

Let me explain.
In the  past month or two, I admit, my prayer life may be a little stronger than in the past.  I have prayed and prayed asking God for direction... confirmation... affirmation... find another word that ends in "ion" and I have prayed for it - regarding our direction and God's blessing on The Retreat At Dallas.  At times, when my heart is burdened, I have started getting on the floor... face down to pray.  Now, I'm NOT bragging about this I'm just sharing this to set up the story.
When I get on the floor, Bella, Sarah's puppy will come around and begin nudging me.  It's happened several times.. in fact, I just expect it now.  Now here is the interesting thing... Bella prays with me and she will also try to bite me.  You read that right.
Bella is protective of Holli and Sarah.  If they are holding Bella and I start to put my arms around them to hug them, Bella snaps at me.  I'm not kidding.
But, when I get on the floor to pray she joins me.  Go figure!
Well, now that I think about it, Bella is like people; she will pray with you and bite you!
We need to focus on praying more than biting.  People need prayer.. they don't need to be bitten.  Well, maybe some do but since this is a Christian column we will focus on the spiritual stuff and stay with the praying.  So, today, don't BITE someone's head off... PRAY for them!
