Make a daily deposit in the love bank...not just on Valentine's day.

Today has been Valentine's day.  Lots of cards, flowers and candy were given as expressions of our love.  But Valentine's Day is one day a year.  We definitely need to express our love on Valentine's Day but, we also need to express it year round.
In the Sunday edition of the New Orleans Times Picayune, there was an article about Valentine's Day.  A young couple was asked if they were going out for Valentine's Day.  They looked at one another and replied, "No, we will probably stay home. Every day is Valentine's Day for us."
That's the way it should be; we should tell the  special people in our lives we love them every day.
Several years ago a friend of mine sent his wife roses the day before Valentine's Day.  This was a little unusual, since it was the day BEFORE Valentine's Day.  He explained, "Anyone can send them on Valentine's Day.  I want them to be special  so I sent them a day early."
I like that.
We all need to do a better job of expressing our love.
365 days a year we should tell someone we love them and appreciate them.
And, there are many ways you can do  this.
Call, text, email, visit or send a note.
I heard a story some time back that illustrates this.  A parent was telling a future son--in-law about the need to express his love to their daughter.  He was told "Picture her like a bank... in order to withdraw money, there has to be money in the bank.  So, everyday make a love deposit in the bank."
That's a good picture.
Every day we need to make a deposit in the love bank...not just on Valentine's day.
