Cajun 12 Days of Christmas

With the Christmas holiday approaching this Saturday, I am following a Christmas theme in my blog posts this week.  Growing up in Louisiana, there were two things that were part of Louisiana (cajun culture) Christmas tradition.  One was the Cajun 12 days of Christmas and the other was the Cajun version of "Twas the night before Christmas."  I can remember on Christmas eve, as the 10:30 news signed off, many times they did with the cajun "Twas the night before Christmas."  Another Louisiana tradition was huge bonfires on the levee of the Mississippi river to light the way for "Papa Noel" (Santa Claus) along the bayou.
So, today, a youtube video of the Cajun "12 Days of Christmas". Enjoy!
