Rick Stanley, brother of Elvis Presley, to speak at FBC Dallas, October 31.

It was August 16, 1977.  I was driving a tractor on our farm.  I had a tractor radio on the left fender of the tractor and it was tuned to WTYX radio out of New Orleans.  Suddenly, they broke into regular programming with the somber announcement; "Elvis Presley; the King of Rock & Roll is dead."
I was stunned.  America was stunned.  Like many of You, I was an Elvis fan.
This Sunday we have the opportunity to hear a man who was as close to Elvis as anyone during the final years of Elvis life.  That man, is Rick Stanley.  When Elvis' mother, Gladys Presley died, His father, Vernon, married Rick's mother, Dee.  In 1960, Rick and His family moved into Graceland to live withy Elvis family.
Elvis showered the Stanley boys with love and affection.  Rick was especially drawn to Elvis.  At the age of 16, Rick dropped out of school and began traveling withi Elvis.  He became His personal aid.  No one was closer to Elvis in the final years of his life than Rick was.
After Elvis death, Rick became a Christian two months later.  He attended Criswell College & Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary,  Since July 3, 1978, Rick has spoken in over 4,000 churches and numerous high schools and middle schools as well as drug rebab centers.
This Sunday, October 31, Rick will speak in all 3 services at FBC Dallas.  I encourage you to attend and invite someone to attend with You.
I hope to see you Sunday at FBC Dallas, located in historic downtown Dallas.
